VW T6.1 LR mit Wohnmobil Zulassung

We purchased our VW T6.1, which had only 2,750 km on the odometer, from a VW dealer in Linz (Autohaus Fuchs) as a standard van and subsequently converted it into a camper with great attention to detail. The official reclassification from N1 (commercial vehicle) to M1 (motorhome) was also carried out.

Here are some details about the conversion and equipment:

Second battery: A 100-Ah battery that is charged while driving via a charging booster installed under the driver's seat.

Rotating co-driver's seat: The co-driver's seat is equipped with a rotating console and can be rotated, allowing for comfortable use of the pull-out table.

Furniture construction: The furniture is made of 18 mm thick birch plywood. The wood was sanded and treated with hard wax oil – twice sanded and twice oiled.

Insulation: The partition walls and the ceiling were insulated with 32 mm Armaflex.

Wall and ceiling cladding: The cladding was made of flame-retardant carpet felt.

Additional equipment: Magnetic fly screens for the tailgate and the sliding door, a Maentum cooler box with a capacity of 30 liters, as well as a mattress made of 10 cm cold foam and 6 cm memory foam, and much more.

For most of the installed components and materials, invoices are available, which can of course be viewed. Only smaller expenses, for example for screws, angles and similar small parts, were not documented separately.

It was important to us that the camper be properly and professionally converted and that the official reclassification be carried out. We wanted everything to be done cleanly and correctly to avoid any problems later on.

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to use our camper as often as we would have liked, as we only finished the conversion shortly before summer. Shortly thereafter, we unexpectedly received a very attractive offer for a small house. Therefore, with a heavy heart, we decided to sell our camper again.

It is important to us that this is not an emergency sale. We do not have to sell the camper at any price or to the first person who comes along. We have invested a lot of time, effort and passion in the conversion and therefore would like a fair price. At the same time, we are realistic and know that not every euro invested and not even the personal, emotional value can be fully transferred to the selling price. We want someone to get the vehicle who will treat it well and enjoy it.

There is a scratch on the co-driver's door (this is only superficial and does not damage the bodywork).
